Company Running Reflections

These are preliminary observations, but still useful to build upon and inquire further.

Let’s look at these as mere observations only, rather than ‘feelings’ or ‘takes’ on something.

  • People have no idea of work or productivity. Like they will spend the entire day getting almost ‘nothing’ done.

  • Everything is ‘ad hoc’, people aren’t aware of their process.

  • Relationships with workers need to have a very high value exchange value.

    • Like - you should only be in rooms where there is mutual value exchange. idk.
    • you need to have a big pp, and talk to others with a big pp - maybe?
  • Your team is not and should not be your family - separation in that aspect might be a healthier approach.

  • It’s not that people can’t follow a process - it’s that when they have no concept of work - it’s difficult for them to imagine a process

    • We’ll have to set up a lot of the formalities to give them the ‘environment’ of work.

Yeah - so this is the learning!

  • The ‘environment’ of work is important - because people naturally don’t have a concept of ‘work’.
    • So the environment helps them realize their role and tasks.

  • If you’re close to your employees - how will you give them performance reviews?
    • How will you measure their growth - etc.?
