While the sample set of data isn’t enough, I’m pretty sure that the best days (best ‘experience’ of a day) that I’ve had have been when I’ve trusted (believed) in god.
There’s something beautiful about letting go and leaving the rest to the universe. Acknowledging its grandeur and how less we can control.
Believing in god opens up another dialogue in our heads, one with us, god and the universe. Here, when I refer to god, I refer to a personification of the universe done by me.
This way, I can conversate with the universe as if it was a person, which makes it so much easier to understand it. For a person, as we understand people, has motives, a personality, and chain of interactions with you. It helps me give meaning (a story) to the seemingly random chaos I observe around me.
So when I get stuck in the lift or something doesn’t go my way, rather than opening a self-dialogue talking to myself about how this sucks, I open a conversation with god (the universe) and I ask it
”Achha, ye curveball phek rhe ho” “Thik hai, mei dekta hu, nice one, but it’s not gonna set me down”
As if god (the universe) was throwing new situations in front of me and testing how well I can interpret them.
This conversation truly makes me go into ‘AMOR FATI MODE’, as just the pure ridiculousness of the conversation makes me fall in love with the curveball that the universe just surprised me with - which is ‘the now’.
As if I wasn’t a part of the universe itself. As if I wasn’t the god that I was talking to. (read Alan Watts to know more about this, haha)
But it seems to really work, leaving ‘the rest’ to the universe - which includes everything else but ‘the now’. ‘The now’ is the universe’s response to you, it’s meant for you to experience, embrace and interpret - everything else is truly out of your control.
I have no idea how the next second would be, forget the next day or month, forget the next person and how they’d react. It’s a cosmic dance, let’s look at it like a dance.
So, to summarize, find a way to have a relationship with the universe. Through god, through any other way, and then learn to leave things to it, for it, to trust it to keep surprising you, to know that you’re in a cosmic dance and that everything around you is just the universe dancing right back at you.
I hope this helps :)
