WariCrew (noun): The kind of team and company I want to build in my life.

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve been associated with Ankur Warikoo’s team, wariCrew. And I couldn’t be more grateful to have this as my first internship, and the first experience with ‘work’.

I find what Ankur has done in the team pure crazy! You often hear of toxic work culture, bad bosses, politics, the daily rut and running in the rat race when you hear about work. But wariCrew has spoiled me by setting the standards high.

At wariCrew, everyone wants you to grow. At wariCrew, no one is waiting to quash you, to step upon you. At wariCrew, mistakes and failures are defined differently. At wariCrew, when something goes wrong, everyone supports you to learn from it. It’s not counted as a mistake, but as a learning opportunity. At wariCrew, you learn that it’s brave to ask for help, to seek feedback. At wariCrew, there is no hierarchy, no managers, just a team of highly driven individuals helping each other move forward. At wariCrew, your mentors take the time to hear you out, even if you just want to rant, they’ll be there for you. At wariCrew, your team is not your family, but something even more special. At wariCrew, everyone is different, there’s almost no one just like you, which means you get too see different perspectives coming in the room and to learn how to accommodate that. At wariCrew, the foundation of work is trust and transparency. If we can’t trust you, it doesn’t matter how smart you are. At wariCrew, you have the freedom to work in your time and on your terms. Whatever helps you to get the best work done, is always on the table. Technology, tools, whatever. At wariCrew, there is always something to learn, given that you are ready to receive.

I could keep writing on, there have been so many experiences that have shown me this. It’s been a heartwarming experience all the way. I’ve failed in multiple places and ways, and been trusted to get back up. I’ve had the good days, bad days, meh days, all of it.

The one thing I’m proud of myself for is, for all of it, I choose to show up every single day, for the last 2 years or so.

To everyone reading this, if you want to get a chance to experience and learn @wariCrew. You should totally go for it.

If there’s something you could help the team with, your seat is waiting for you.

The @wariCrew twitter handle is a great place to know more about us, a great place to do your research. Once you do, write an email to Ankur at warikoo@gmail.com and share what you’re all about.

DO NOT COLD EMAIL HIM WITHOUT WATCHING HIS (OR ANY) VIDEOS ON COLD EMAILING. haha 😂

Here’s one of them FYR :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VG1Px105Vc&pp=ygUbYW5rdXIgd2FyaWtvbyBjb2xkIGVtYWlsaW5n

Thank you so much @wariCrew, and my lovely team. For all the times you’ve helped me grow!
