Whenever we’re feeling not quite up to the mark, disconnected, cluttered, or something else that we’re not comfortable with.
I like to think of it as a sign of something in my system ‘failing’, it’s often just my mindset haha.
But, bringing it to a fix is quite a task and not the simplest one.
Simply for the reason, that if I’m growing, I’m (and I hope) will face new problems which will require new solutions.
To explain it via a meme:
Right, so I thought of making a list of ‘RESTORATION’ practices that have worked for me in the past as a repository of things for my future self (and y’all to reference and use.)
So, here it goes!
- Dancing on random streets:
- This works great in the night, especially on the roadside with some bollywood music running. Either old gold tracks or your favourite DJ Playlist.
- Reminds you to be a kid, take things lightly, and how much you love dancing and life itself.
- Singing out loud songs
- To listen to your own voice, to let go of this invisible mute switch that we self-perceive that the world has put on us. That’s liberating.
- That builds belief in ourselves.
- Smiling wide for a prolonged amount of time.
- I’m pretty sure that keeping a wide smile on your face physically inhibits some nerve connections in your brain that are wired with fear, insecurity and non-loving thoughts. When you smile wide, there’s no way you can take things without pure love (sneh).
- Smiling wide is a shortcut to ‘love mode’
