In my time working with Ankur for the last 2 years and then going out to start my own company, here’s the one thing that I’ve learnt - the importance of awareness.

All decisions in life should be made out of awareness and not ignorance.

Because at many moments in life you’ll be presented with the question - So how do you want to live your life Naman?

Especially more so after you’re done with school, college and any other societal commitments.

You have to understand that you’re free, that you have the power to do whatever you want - that you could just go to a Buddhist monastery and become a happy jolly peaceful monk there, or go out into the streets and sell veggies, or do a corporate job for a good chunk of your life, or something completely different.

Yes there are some limitations, and money and what not, but generally, there is nothing ‘physical’ stopping you from doing any of these.

Which means that the life that you life is built up from all the tiny and large decisions that you take.

And hence, why would you let society, randomness or ‘how you feel that morning’ take such decisions.

Why wouldn’t you be the architect of your own life - when you can build any house you can dream of?

Why wouldn’t you want to build and live intentionally - and life in the peace that comes with the predictability that you choose this.

So many peaceful things happen when you do that, you learn to identify what doesn’t matter to you and let go of it, you understand what is really important and dedicate more time to focus on it.

Awareness is essentially a tool to get out of the ‘rat race’ and let your life be defined by yourself.

For example: Upon reflection, you might feel that spending time with your partner is what really matters rather than the corporate crunch, and you might decide to take up a role where that is facilitated more.

Then when you see others around you working day night and growing at work - you’ll not be comparing, because you know you want and value different things.

Or maybe that makes you realise that a challenge is important for you, in which case you might figure out a way to build a challenge without compromising time with your partner.

This is how you put your knowledge and learnings into use.

Essentially, awareness is wisdom.

And isn’t it beautiful!

There are so many examples of this that I can share with you, but a better thing would be to build out this digital garden - where my main purpose is to define and document all these decisions I make, reflect on how they go and share my findings with you.

Awareness will be the foundation of this little corner on the internet - I’ll show you the frameworks I build, the observations I have, write case studies on the situations I encounter.

Here, I’ll be building a aware and intentional life, in public.

Because why should this information be private to me, putting it out there only solidifies it in my mind and as Ankur also taught me -

For you to win, no one needs to loose.

And an ‘aware’ decision, I choose that in life I shall not spend any of my time (which in fact is limited) in trying to bring anyone down or take any actions in a negative or zero sum way.

It’s just not how I ‘want’ to live my life or invest my time.

That’s why this page exists, to share everything and anything that I learn out there with the world - with the hope that more people find this and join me in my journey, that they become friends I can learn from, rejoice with and eventually build into magical relationships that I can cherish for a lifetime!

coz, why wouldn’t I?

It’s all your choice my man, go build your life the way ‘you’ want to!
