To the lovely gentleman who said hi.
Today I got reminded of - “what you seek is seeking you”.
I started this trip (Travelling for 6 months straight - a journal.) with no particular goal in mind, just to go on a new experience.
There wasn’t anything spectacular in particular that was happening so far, and then the universe decided to start the show!
Today morning was wonderful, read more here - Day 1 - 6 Months of travel starts Then I came to blue tokai, a coffee shop in galleria.
Sitting here for more than 3 hours, coding, working. Then, claude my AI assistant went down (I tweeted bout it too) and so I decided to sort through my notes and write a bit.
I started writing this one - What deep story are you telling yourself that’s not serving you.
And then the wonderful man sitting next to me read the title and said hi!
you know how with just a few words of talking to someone you know that they just get it.
This entire collection, this folder, these notes are all about those people, the absolutely awesome strangers that the universe made me bump into.
each one of them has been beautiful.
I got reminded of the power of listening and how not just it benefits the person in front, but also you (there’s something wonderful about watching someone express and being present to witness it).
Binodan, somehow, through some tangent, told me about how he quit his engineering. In the 5 minute conversation, we went from math and physics to karma to starting an agency that works only 4 days a week, to AI and what not.
I was seeking for this trip and experience to be one with learnings and new people, and it happened already.
From my new friend Binodan, I’d love to learn that I too should say hi to more people around me.
Like that ETH girl that I’ve mentioned in the log for today (here), there was a wonderful possibility of things that could’ve conspired just as it did here, if I’d said hi :)
Cherry on cake, another stranger walked into blue tokai and realised that Binodan was a familiar face. They had bumped into each before, that too at another blue tokai lol.
and just before this happened, I had asked him why would he travel so far from home to come to this coffee shop.
After saying hi to new stranger - he replied - “to meet new people!“
come on man
the story I wrote above, that I JUST EXPERIENCED like 10 minutes ago seems like it’s right out of a novel.
Maybe one that Binodan might have written, dropping out of engineering to go pursue literature. (yes I know that about him in just 5 minutes wow)
But no it’s not out of a novel, yet I’m convinced that there is something larger at play in all of our lives.
Afterall, all the world’s a stage, right?
thanks Binodan, gonna bump into you again super soon :)
