Everyone is my brother. They win, I win, it’s the same thing.

They’re me, so if they’re doing something great, then I am too.

I witnessed this after sitting watching this guy talk on stage.

At first, my mind kept getting distracted by my own fantasies, of talking on stage or doing something better than him or thinking about him in certain directional ways (positive/negative).

But what I realised was, however he was doing it, there was a certain energy to it, and well, to see it and feel it and remember that that guy is just me and I am him, it made sense that it doesn’t matter if he’s on the stage or I am.

If they win or I win, it’s the same thing.

Kind of like how your parents see you, you wins are their wins.

It’s the same thing if my best friend starts a company or I do, we’re all one with each other and life’s better when you see it that way.

I think one good proxy to how a mindset is working for you could be to measure how many negative thoughts it extinguishes through illumination.

This mindset, which extends the Indian concept of Vasudeva Kutumbakam, this mindset that we’re all an ‘Ansh’ of God and that we’re all the same does help me remove negative thoughts of comparison and envy from my brain.

It makes me be more peaceful, appreciative and open to learning from my brothers.

And if so, why shouldn’t I adopt this mindset.

What do you think?
