Okay here’s a fun one for today.

It’s about expectation, reward and disappointment.

When someone tells you something or commits to you, you expect an outcome.

More often than not, what you expected won’t occur exactly.

So, why not play a different game.

Either, cautiously stop expecting anything you can’t control. and stop fantasizing over the future.

But that is something I guess we develop over time - in multiple aspects and themes of life.

However, maybe here’s another thing that might work.

Like how the stoics say - imagine the worst that can happen, and then go ahead with the day.

Maybe, while expecting something, already expect the worst - giving yourself the chance to be happily surprised by it when it turns out better.

Eventually maybe your expectations and to what things you expect something will calibrate to a better, happier and realistic model :)
