Use folders to group together similar notes by kind of note, such that, it is not possible for a note of that category to ever exist outside the folder.
- A folder represents a logical context.
- Duplicate notes if they appear in multiple notebooks (folders), link them together to maintain a connect.
-
Use tags to ‘tag’ everything else. Topics, people, concepts, etc. Any category that can be shared across notes in different folders should be a tag.
- A tag represents a shared concept, on which multiple notes come together to build knowledge, in their own different contexts.
