One of the biggest lies told to us is that you need to work hard to do good work.
It’s not hard work that I have a problem with. It’s the fact that it’s very easy to mistake hard work with work under stress.
Creative solutions are found with intent and a relaxed state of mind.
Never under stress.
First principles thinking is about zooming out. You can also zoom out if you detach.
Detach your ego, Detach your presumptions. Detach everything.
And then look at things objectively, that’s when you’re able to make ‘aware’ decisions for life.
Even if they’re silly. You’re able to point yourself towards the silliest of things that you enjoy, rather than the pseudo entertainment that the world has conditioned you to resort to when you’re tired.
chill out my man, you need it. it’s not that deep, you’re not in trouble.
you can solve everything, as soon as you relax.
p.s.
remember the book ‘flow’ - it talks kinda about the same thing. Just one more thing, which is the perception of ‘challenge’ and ‘effort’ matters a lot.
