Anything even a second ahead in my future is not in my control.
To try to influence it or control it is a moot point.
You can influence the probability space of things that can occur, but never know what exactly will happen.
The fun thing is, there’s an exact opposite thought of this that works really well as well.
You see how everyone talks about time travel and the grandfather paradox and the butterfly effect and stuff about how changing one small thing could change the future entirely.
But you see how no one talks about that we could change one small thing today and influence the future that’s about to come greatly.
I guess it’s to first accept that we can’t control anything but the now, and if we even want to influence anything in the future, it’s by tieing ourselves to the now and working on it, and not anything else.
