  • Always lead with empathy. - every action of yours should be with empathy - it shouldn’t every be blank. It should fill someone with love!

  • Never forget your role - never forget why you’re there and how you can at that moment add value to the room. Practices being in the moment.

  • Need to be captain cool - even if the world is falling apart - your team shouldn’t see your worry - you should deal with the worry before talking to the team. Your team is a reflection of you, your main job is keeping everyone’s spirits high.

  • Approach everyone with a smile!

  • With every word and action, you should inspire confidence

    • the ‘emotion’ and ‘energy’ you convey is very very important.
  • Great management is understanding how different people work.

    • one person likes independence, the other might like to be guided actively.
    • It’s also in understanding how to best communicate with each person.
      • THINK DEEPLY ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO COMMUNICATE, WHO YOU’RE TALKING TO AND WHAT IS THE OUTCOME OF IT BEFORE SAYING ANYTHING.
  • TAKE NO ACTION IN FEAR OR ANXIETY.

  • People at work ‘can’ actually have a separate relationship with each other beyond work, beyond work.

    • I think that’s what makes the early days of startups so special. It’s not the idea or the solution. It’s the ‘crazy’ people coming together and believing.
